I've been thinking about what to talk about since I haven't posted here in a long time, but honestly, there hasn't been much going on. I've been working a lot but not enough. I'm trying to motivate myself to look for another job, but I just feel so trapped. No one is hiring and most of the places around here are letting people off right and left. I don't want to get a job then be let go a few months in. I'm not really trained to do anything except bridal and nothing that I can do will pay enough. Money sucks.
Angela's coming to town this weekend. She'll be done with her first semester on Wednesday morning and get here on Thursday. We're going to go out on Monday to take pictures since she's going to try to do some shows I told her we'd take some headshots. And I haven't done any photography at all since I got here. I have only taken about 5 pictures and they were all of my apartment. I feel like I don't really have much to take pictures of since everything here is covered in snow and it gets so dark so early, it's hard to motivate myself to get out. Plus my camera needs film and it's just an expense I can't really have right now.
I've been watching SVU marathons every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and I'm pretty sure I'm getting close to seeing every single episode.
Yesterday was my dad's 60th birthday.
I've been going through a lot of old videos. They were pretty much all from KCS and Descants. It was weird to go back through those and remember them. I was originally looking for a song that Angela could sing for church on Christmas but I didn't find many that would work well as a solo anyway. But I did find some pretty amusing things. There was a video from a KCS sleepover at my house from my Senior year. There was Cranium and Twister. Then there was video in the morning. It was pretty funny.
I went to Duluth to see Greg's senior recitle. He did a very good job and I'm happy that he's finally finished with college. They're going to be moving to the Twin Cities this spring (he's going to be in an opera this semester before he graduates.) It'll be nice to have some friends in the area.
I guess that's about it for now. Allan's gotta go out of town this weekend so I'll be hanging out with Angela on Sunday and Monday. We've gotten about 6 inches of snow so far. And over the past week we haven't had a high over 11 degrees. Fun fun. |
